INVITATION TO BID ~ Aiken Housing Authority Abatement and Demolition of Hahn Village
Aiken Housing Authority will receive bids in the Aiken Housing Authority Administration Office at 100 Rogers Terrace, Aiken, South Carolina 29801 until 2:00 p.m. on November 3, 2021 for Abatement and Demolition of Hahn Village.
The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Aiken Housing Authority Administration Office at 100 Rogers Terrace, Aiken, South Carolina 29801 at 2:00 p.m. on November 3, 2021 local time.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be conducted on October 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the project site located near 100 Rogers Terrace in Aiken, South Carolina. While attendance at the pre-bid is not mandatory, bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
Contract documents, including drawings and specifications, are on file at the offices of Alternative Construction & Environmental Solutions, Inc., 2247 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904. Bidding documents may be obtained at the office of Alternative Construction & Environmental Solutions (706) 262-2000 with a $45.00 deposit $0.00 refundable.
The Contract, if awarded, will be on the basis of the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after time has been called on the date of bid opening.
Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to Aiken Housing Authority in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond will represent that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly enter into a contract agreement and furnish a Performance and Payment Bond.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond or bonds in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and other insurance requirements in accordance with the General Conditions. Aiken Housing Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to waive technicalities and informalities in the bidding process.
Bidders will be required to submit their experience in meeting the Minority Business Enterprise/Women Business Enterprise, Davis-Bacon, and HUD Section 3 requirements.
