The mission of the Housing Authority of the City of Aiken (AHA) is to cultivate diverse housing opportunities while empowering individuals and families of the Aiken County community.

AHA is committed to providing quality, stable, and sustainable housing in a non-discriminatory manner.

AHA’s focus is to equip families with the necessary tools to become self-sufficient and to improve their quality of life.

Our Vision:

The Housing Authority of the City of Aiken will achieve its mission by ensuring staff has the leadership skills, knowledge, and tools to serve the community in a rapidly changing environment. Staff will be challenged to look beyond conventional programs and embrace both new opportunities and new partnerships. We will collaborate with community partners who share a concern for the future of our residents. We will increase public awareness of our goals and build interdependent relationships with civic organizations, educational institutions, and governments that have the foresight and will to make this vision a reality in our neighborhoods and community.
